Short answer first. A score predictor is only as good as the minimums it predicts against, so here is the honest version, built from the 255 programs in our records that state a Duolingo minimum: the median stated minimum is 115 and the most common is 120. Read the table the way an applicant should: find your score, see how much of the map it opens.

The clearance table

Your Duolingo scorePrograms whose stated minimum you clearShare of the 255
1004919%
1058333%
11012047%
11515762%
12019777%
12522689%
130255100%

The middle of the table is where the leverage is. Moving from 105 to 115 nearly doubles the programs you clear, from 83 to 157; moving from 115 to 125 adds another 69. Below 100 the map almost closes: only 22 of the 255 state a minimum under 100, and just 2 go as low as 90, which is why the 105-score guide on this site is a shortlist exercise rather than a shopping list. At 130 the whole recorded map is open, all 255. LumeTest's Duolingo English Test Prediction page, whose estimate-your-score format this article follows, works from practice-test performance; this one works from the demand side, the minimums themselves. The two meet in the middle: a predicted score only matters against a counted distribution like this, and the Score Sprint Planner turns a target score into a study plan.

The shape of the minimums

Score 100 49 of 255 Score 105 83 of 255 Score 110 120 of 255 Score 115 157 of 255 Score 120 197 of 255 Score 125 226 of 255 Score 130 255 of 255

One caution belongs on any predictor, ours included: a stated minimum is a floor, not an offer. Programs admit above their floors, and competitive ones admit well above. What the count gives you is the eligibility map, which programs your score keeps you in the game for, and that is the question worth answering before any application fee moves.
